Registration is now open for The Town of Southampton Youth Bureau’s “Youth and Government” program sponsored by the Alliance of NYS YMCAs. Students in grades 9–12 have the opportunity to develop their own bills to amend legislation as well as discuss and debate issues that affect citizens of New York State. The program culminates in a three-day statewide conference in Albany where students deliberate in the chambers of the NYS Legislature. The Southampton Youth Bureau’s Youth & Government program begins Wednesday, October 8. Meetings are held every other Wednesday from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM at the Hampton Bays Community Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue.
