Rowdy Oscar Contest

Rowdy Hall, at 10 Main Street in the Parrish Mews, East Hampton, has launched its annual “Rowdy & The Oscars” ballot contest.

Along with the check at the end of each meal, customers will be presented an “Oscar Ballot” form. Anyone wishing to participate need only fill out the ballot and present it to the host, manager, server or bartender. Whoever has the most correct answers on Oscar night is the winner and will receive dinner for two and two movie vouchers. If there is a tie for most correct answers, a drawing will be held.

The contest ends Sunday, March 7, the date of the Oscars. For more

Rugby at Townline

Townline BBQ on Townline Road in Sagaponack is presenting live broadcasts of 2010 Six Nations Rugby with no cover charge.

Specials at the bar for games starting after 11 a.m. include bottles of Becks and Magners Irish Cider for $4 and 25-cent wings with a minimum order of 10. The schedule includes matches on Saturday, February 27, England vs. Ireland at 11 a.m.; Saturday, March 13, Ireland vs. Wales at 9:30 a.m.; and Saturday, March 20, France vs. England at 2:45 p.m.

Alsatian Menu at Nick & Toni’s

Nick & Toni’s at 136 North Main Street in East Hampton will offer a special four-course menu featuring specialties from Alsace, priced at $38 per person and offered Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday all night and Saturday from 6 to 7 p.m.

The menu includes an aperitif of granier mon pastis, followed by a choice of two first course options: a warm cherry soup and grilled bread, served with a salad of frisée, Black Forest ham and gruyere dressed with mustard vinaigrette; or a sweet onion and bacon tart and field greens, served with a warm red cabbage salad with green apples and chestnuts.

For a main course, the choices include: baeckeoffe, a stew of brisket, lamb and pork with cloves and potato purée; grilled guinea hen with Alsatian style sauerkraut; and coq au riesling, braised chicken with white wine sauce and spinach. Dessert choices include: strudel aux pommes, made from crispy phyllo dough and Halsey Farm apples; or riesling ice cream.
