During Presidents Week, New York State will provide consumers with rebates for purchasing Energy Star-rated appliances.
Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the rebates will be given for purchases of refrigerators, clothes washers, freezers and dishwashers from Friday, February 12, through Sunday, February 21.
Customers purchasing appliances during this window may qualify for the following individual rebates: $75 on refrigerators (or $105 with the documented recycling on an old appliance); $75 on clothes washers (or $100 with documented recycling); $50 on freezers (or $75 with documented recycling); or $500 for dishwashers, but only when they are purchased as part of an approved three-appliance package (or $550 with documented recycling).
