Former Hampton Bays resident Katherine Helen Daley of Falls Church, Virginia, died at her home on Monday, June 8. She was 45.
Ms. Daley was born on October 5, 1963, in Queens, New York. Her family moved to Hampton Bays in 1972, and she graduated from Hampton Bays High School and went on to attend Ithaca College, earning a degree in communications in 1985.
After working for many years in advertising in Manhattan, she relocated to England with her husband, Rich, and continued to work in the industry before the birth of her children.
According to loved ones, she was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister who accomplished very much in her life, including being a published poet.
Ms. Daley is survived by her husband, Richard; a son, Daniel; two daughters, Bridget and Lauren; her parents, Thomas E. and Lydia Crowley of Hampton Bays; two brothers, Thomas J. Crowley and his wife Julia of East Quogue, and Patrick Crowley and his wife Leah of North Carolina; a sister, Karen Crowley of Hampton Bays; and seven nieces and nephews, Kelly, Anna and Jack Crowley of East Quogue, and William, Jane, Helen and Joseph Crowley of North Carolina.
The wake and funeral service were held at the Advent Funeral Home in Falls Church on June 11 and 12. Pallbearers included Thomas J. and Patrick Crowley, Timothy Berlin, Charles Nicholson, Thomas Daley and Ian Baker.
Interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Falls Church.
