The 2021 Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund numbers are in — and, with them, a record-breaking total.
At $210.64 million, the year-end figure marks a 51.1 percent increase over the revenue generated in 2020, as well as the highest annual total in the fund’s history — shattering last year’s record $139.42 million total, according to a press release from New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr.
As December became the 17th straight month that revenue has exceeded $10 million, the CPF has now collected $1.81 billion since its inception in 1999.
Over the course of the year, Southampton Town sales generated the most revenue — $118 million, a nearly 47 percent increase from $80.71 million in 2020 — followed by East Hampton Town at $66.7 million, a 63 percent jump from $40.94 million, which was the highest year-over-year increase of the five East End towns.
