A Southampton Village estate section residence — a converted carriage house originally constructed in the early 19th century on more than 2 acres — with views of Lake Agawam recently sold for $12.5 million.
Harald Grant, Ritchey Howe and Bruce Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing at 376 First Neck Lane. It had been asking $13.4 million.
“Loved working with the seller of this beautifully proportioned 6 BR Carriage House on coveted First Neck Lane,” Howe wrote on Facebook in June. “It was their family home for decades, so it is a bittersweet sale. Before this, it was my Aunt and Uncle’s home,” she continued. “I know many happy memories were made here in the past and know that the new owners will make many new ones in the decades ahead.”
The shingle-sided home, sited down a long driveway, with two entrances and parking courts, has been expanded and maintained, according to the listing, and the property offers brick patios on either side of the house.
The front entry foyer has patinaed wide-plank floors and nearly 10-foot high ceilings. The formal living room has a fireplace, and the library has a built-in bar. French doors open to both patios.
The formal dining room, also open to the patio, features a pass-through to the dine-in kitchen, and rounding out the ground floor are a separate laundry, an office with a bathroom, and the attached oversized three-car garage.
Upstairs, find a casual seating and game area with a deck, plus all six of the home’s bedrooms, including the primary suite.
In all, the residence offers more than 5,500 square feet of interior living space and 2,445 square feet of exterior living space. It also has room for a pool and expansion.
The deal closed on June 3, according to Suffolk Vision Inc. The seller was the estate of Linda Curtis and the new owner is Heady Creek LLC.
