A Sagaponack Village estate on coveted Hedges Lane sold for $15 million in October, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., a $9 million discount from the original asking price but still one of the biggest Sagaponack sales to date in 2019, if not the biggest.
The main house is 13,000 square feet with nine bedrooms and 11.5 bathrooms. The paneled entry foyer is double height and entertaining spaces include the living room and great room. The large chef’s kitchen is completed by a butler’s pantry with a wine cellar. There’s also a paneled library, a main-level gym with French doors leading outside, and a screened-in patio with a fireplace. The lower level, accessible via the three-level elevator, has a theater, a sitting room and a game room.
The 4.4-acre property at 209 Hedges Lane is accessed by a private driveway and has views of more than 12 acres of farmland. The grounds feature specimen trees, an expansive lawn, a sunken tennis court, gardens, a large pool with jacuzzi, and both a pool house and a yoga studio.
The property was listed for $24 million in the middle of 2018 and went through several price cuts. It was seeking $16.5 million at last asking price. The total price at closing, according to The Corcoran Group, was $15.15 million.
