Long Island Green Homes, a nonprofit administered by the Sustainability Institute at Molloy College in Rockville Centre, and Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming are partnering to present “A Homeowner’s Guide to Energy Efficiency,” a free educational event at the East Hampton YMCA on Friday, March 3.
The event will help homeowners find where their houses are wasting energy, and explain the state incentives that are available to help fix problems and make homes more energy efficient. All attendees will be able to sign up for a free home energy audit.
The Long Island Green Homes Initiative is funded primarily with a community outreach grant awarded by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
YMCA East Hampton RECenter is located at 2 Gingerbread Lane, East Hampton. The March 3 event runs from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
