A Southampton Village oceanfront estate that belonged to the late media and entertainment mogul Robert F.X. Sillerman up until 2014 sold at the end of August for $36 million, a price that is sure to place it among the top 10 Hamptons home sales of 2020.
The address is 1116 Meadow Lane and the residence on 3.65 acres offers 12,800 square feet of interior living space. Built in 2010, it has an open living space, eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms and four half-baths.
The property has 200 feet of ocean frontage, a 35-foot-by-15-foot pool, and unobstructed bay views on the north side. Wide and deep porches provide outdoor enjoyment on both the bay side and ocean side.
The lower level is finished and includes a fitness room and a home theater. Also among the estate’s amenities are a barbecue, six fireplaces, a sauna and a two-car garage.
Mr. Sillerman, who died in November 2019 at age 71, sold 1116 Meadow Lane for $37.5 million, according to town property records. It was just one of his Meadow Lane properties.
He sold 1100 Meadow Lane in 2015 for $38 million and then 1080 Meadow Lane in 2016 for another $38 million.
Mr. Sillerman, besides his national profile and his real estate holdings, was known in Southampton as a former chancellor of Southampton College.
The property at 1116 Meadow Lane was last asking $39 million. The last owner of record is simply identified as Meadow Lane Trust. Associate broker Harald Grant of Sotheby’s International Realty was on both sides of the deal.
