A Sagaponack compound on more than 4 acres sold recently for $12.5 million, making it one of the biggest sales of 2019 in the village.
The official address in county sales records is 51 Old Barn Lane but this property is better known as 544 Hedges Lane. It was listed with Sotheby’s International Realty for $13.5 million when it sold. That was after several years and price cuts. It first came on the market in 2015 asking $22.5 million, according to Curbed.
The south-of-the-highway compound has a loft-like 1880 barn residence, a guest house, an oversized gym/pool house and several outbuildings. In all, there are nine bedrooms, 12 full bathrooms and three partial baths. It also comes with a lily pond — and don’t forget the pool and tennis.
The seller was Pamela B. Friedman and the buyer was an anonymous limited liability company. Beate V. Moore and Frank E. Newbold had the listing for Sotheby’s International Realty.
