A Haven Of Serenity

Voting is the fundamental component of democracy, and doing so is an obligation of its citizenry if the system is to thrive. Being an informed voter and voting for the candidate that will do the best job and represent their constituency in an unbiased and honest manner is also essential to the success of the government, local and national.

Having said that, I am asking North Haven residents to look carefully at the candidates, review not just the political rhetoric but their actions, especially recent actions.

I am voting for Chris Fiore, because I truly believe he will be the best mayor of North Haven; his life experience, his integrity, and his commitment to the betterment of his community speak for themselves.

Chris has shown during his time as a trustee that he can get things done well in a timely fashion, with fiscal responsibility and a willingness to work hard. His vision for North Haven is one I share as a longtime resident and homeowner, a parent whose children grew up here, and as a member of the community that wants to see North Haven remain just that — our haven of natural beauty and serenity. I also want to keep North Haven a place where families can afford to live and own homes; affordable living is an important platform of Chris’s campaign.

Chris is also an environmentally conscious person whose record shows his commitment to preserving our water quality and open space. Lovelady Park is well on its way to phase two, and it was Chris who spearheaded this project and saved 10 irreplaceable acres from development.

Well aware that time stops for no man, Chris understands the fact that as mayor one must work collegially with builders and real estate agents to arrive at an agreement that protects the North Haven we love while allowing carefully planned growth.

Chris is, above all else, a man of unquestionable morals. He walks the walk.

Before you vote on June 21, please weigh all the factors; it is my belief that Chris Fiore will stand out as the candidate that will best serve the future of North Haven.
