Just End It

Only developers with tricky financing and free New York State money would propose this “ghetto” project as a solution to workforce housing [“Questions For Sag Harbor Village Board On Development Proposals At Tuesday’s Meeting,” 27east.com, August 10]. Over a flood zone. On a toxic gas-effusing lot. In an already congested hotel, restaurant, condo area — and then there is the fragile sewer system.

No genuine planner would ever imagine this quick-build/quick-cash idea that needs to be put to its end ASAP. Even the discussions are repulsive.

As a Bridge Street resident for 40 years, I ask: Adam Potter and Stephen Ross, are you trying to wreck what’s left of Sag Harbor?
