A Job Well Done

I want to write a quick note to thank a remarkable Town of Southampton employee.

Way back when I was an active community volunteer, I had innumerable interactions with town staff across all departments. Everyone was always kind, thorough and responsive, but there is one employee who stands out among all others.

The residents of Southampton are lucky to have Debra Keller in the Citizens Response Center. Debra has helped me navigate the bureaucracy at Town Hall like no other, with diligence and a smile. She’s an incredible wealth of information, and there isn’t a person working for the town that Debra doesn’t know. She is always happy to make the connection to other staff to solve a problem.

Debra has helped me with everything from getting my dog licensed, to tracking down a property survey while I was at the closing table, to managing my many subscriptions in the “Notify Me” system the town offers. During COVID, she was equally available, always responding to emails and returning telephone calls.

I think it’s important to acknowledge good people — and Debra Keller is one of the best.
