A True Leader

For the past two weeks, I have written Letters to the Editor backing Governor Andrew Cuomo. They spoke to the two issues that are reasons why others want him to resign his office. Now, there is a third, having to do with his making early COVID-19 tests available to his family — which is a straw too much.

With all these bureaucrats in Washington and the state wanting him out, it only means to me that he’s doing a good job.

So let me tell you some of the things he has done:

He shepherded New York through the worst crisis in a lifetime.

He protected us with gun laws that require 30 days’ approval for purchase.

When ex-President Donald Trump pulled out of the Paris Accord, our governor increased the amount of renewable energy to replace fossil fuel by 30 percent, one of the country’s highest rates.

He’s fighting the federal tax on property tax deductions.

He also revealed how New York taxes are supporting other states.

He created public projects that revitalized LaGuardia Airport and Penn station.

Also, the medical care act. And the marriage equality act.

Lastly, executive order 203 asks all involved to resolve the policing problem.

That’s just a few.

Anyone who thinks that this leader should go can’t buy a gun in New York, because they are crazy.
