Andrew Capone Dies At 69

Andrew Capone

Andrew Capone, formerly of Hampton Bays, died at his home in Manlius on Wednesday, April 20. He was 69.

Born in Riverhead, he graduated from Hampton Bays High School. He retired from Hampton Bays Fire Department where he was a mechanic and a life member and former chief.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie McMahon Capone; children, Mary, Andrea and David; grandchildren, Nicholas, Kyle, Kelly, Amanda, Lauren, Caitlyn, Lauryn, Thomas and Daniel; brothers and sisters, Josephine, Theresa, Jack and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel.

Services will be held at a time to be announced.

Memorial donations to the Hampton Bays Fire Department, 69 West Montauk, Hampton Bays, NY 11946 or the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 would be appreciated by the family.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
