The victim received an email seeking payment that he thought came from the company. The writer asked that payment be made through the Venmo online payment service. Cole M. Carthers, 32, of Bluffton, South Carolina, was arrested on April 5 at 7:30 p.m., and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, for refusing a prescreen test, a violation, and for failure to stop at a stop sign, for improper lane use and unsafely moving from his lane of travel.
