Blaise Puzio
Longtime Sag Harbor resident Blaise Puzio died Friday, January 21, at Avow Hospice in Naples, Florida. He was 72.
He was diagnosed one month earlier with stage four lung cancer. He spent his last weeks at his sister Linda’s home in Naples.
Mr. Puzio was born July 21, 1938, in Manhattan. He attended Industrial Arts High School in Manhattan and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Yonkers. He owned and operated a fine clothing establishment in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, for many years.
After moving to the East End in the early 1980s, he opened Blaise’s Haircutting Studio in Bridgehampton. He retired in 2007. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting and his legion of friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him for his insightful nature and fun loving spirit, survivors said.
Mr. Puzio is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Robert Morris of Sag Harbor and Naples; a brother, Michael Puzio of Sag Harbor and New Jersey; and nieces, Patricia Squires, Michele Desai and Elizabeth Morris. A memorial is planned for this summer in Sag Harbor.
