QUOGUE VILLAGE — An area resident called Quogue Village Police on April 7 reporting he’d been the victim of a scam. It appears someone hacked a local driveway company’s email. The victim received an email seeking payment that he thought came from the company. The writer asked that payment be made through the Venmo online payment service. DWI Reports For Week Of April 15

Cole M. Carthers, 32, of Bluffton, South Carolina, was arrested on April 5 at 7:30 p.m., and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, for refusing a prescreen test, a violation, and for failure to stop at a stop sign, for improper lane use and unsafely moving from his lane of travel.
