Christopher E. Fisher of Southampton died on March 4, 2017. He was 28, and a grandson, son, brother, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin and friend.
Survivors said that one did not need to know Mr. Fisher for very long to be infected by his love and passion. He was truly one of a kind, they said, welcoming everyone he met with open arms. His penchant for positivity and fun gave him a special energy that made people naturally gravitate towards him. A few minutes with him and you knew that good memories and laughs were sure to result.
Mr. Fisher spent his entire life dedicating himself to the things he loved. As a child, those things included, but were not limited to, his family and friends, working with his dad at their family-owned farm, playing football, and joining Southampton High School’s wrestling team. As an adult, family and friends remained his priority, but he also grew a love for tree work, starting as an apprentice and, over time, becoming a skilled arborist. He ultimately owned and operated Treescapes LLC, and truly loved what he did. Survivors said he often remarked that he never felt more alive then when he climbed to the top of the tallest tree at any given job.
Visitation was held at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton on March 8, with a private funeral service.
