I received in my mailbox a notice that someone is asking to build six residences off Halsey Avenue here in our village.
I have no immediate objection, but I am interested to learn what type of ownership is involved. Are these rental units? Are they for sale? What is the cost? Are these units to be considered single and separate, or condos, condominiums or some other form of ownership?
We need affordable housing here. Desperately. We are not so fancy that poor people cannot live with dignity among us now.
I applaud the effort and await the details. Let’s be hopeful that our argumentative village trustees can be of some use now.
