Trains are holding in stations east of Speonk along the Montauk Branch due to a disabled train west of Southampton, the Long Island Rail Road announced Tuesday afternoon.
The 3:06 p.m. train from Speonk to Montauk was canceled west of Southampton. Westbound, the 2:45 p.m. train from Montauk to Jamaica was operating 40 to 45 minutes late. This train was assigned to assist the disabled eastbound train west of Southampton.
The 4:51 p.m. train from Montauk to Speonk is canceled, and the LIRR said it is “working to secure a bus.”
