Eleanor Rose “Ellie” Davin died on January 17 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, Indiana. She was 91.
She was born in New York City on July 31, 1929 to Joseph and Mary (Pictonic) Mihlik.
Ms. Davin worked as a waitress for most of her life, having served customers at The Court Restaurant in Riverhead for many years. She loved to sew, draw and vacation and snorkel in Marathon, Florida with her husband, according to her family.
She is survived by her children, Priscilla “Dee” Ferraro (Don) of Tell City; and Richard Davin (Lena) of East Quogue; grandchildren, Tia Smith, Thompson Station, Tennessee, Tony Ferraro (Emily), Tell City, Richard Davin (Danielle) and Jason Davin (Christina), all of East Quogue; great-grandchildren, Briley and Brynna Smith, Lila and Zack Davin, Mia and Nicholas Davin, Grace and Chase Ferraro, Lathen, Ollie and Charlotte; a niece, Suzanne Haines of New York and Peter Tripodi of New York.
Ms. Davin was predeceased by her parents; husband, Bill Davin in 2008; granddaughter-in-law, Stacie Ferraro; great-granddaughter, Ella Hope Ferraro; and a sister, Marjorie Tripodi.
Memorial services will be private. Huber Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
