East Hampton Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez is up for reelection this year and is unchallenged, but a new state law would require her to run again next year. Burke-Gonzalez said this week that she is not a fan of the new law because it threatens to bury town politics in the broader drama of national elections, even if it means higher turnout.
