Janice E. Kracke
Janice E. Kracke, a resident of East Quogue for more than 30 years and currently residing in Glenwood Village in Riverhead, died at home, surrounded by her family, on August 19. She was 71.
Ms. Kracke worked as an office manager in several school districts. She also worked as the office manager for Juzumback Oil of Riverhead and most recently as office manager for Glennwood Village.
She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Carl H. Kracke, in 1984. She is survived by her son, Randy J. Kracke and his wife Kelly of East Quogue; two daughters, Brenda Kracke of Boston and Wendy Scheerer and her husband Paul of Sag Harbor; a sister, Brenda Ploeger and her husband Joseph of Sag Harbor; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ward of Sag Harbor. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Kelsey and Erin Kracke; and her companion, Edward Kolyer of Riverhead.
She was predeceased by a brother, David A. Ward.
Visiting hours were held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Tuesday, August 21. A funeral Mass was held at the Church of St. Rosalie on Wednesday, August 22, with interment following in the family plot in Oakwood Cemetery in East Quogue.
