Margaret G. Leiblein
Former East Quogue resident Margaret G. Leiblein died on Saturday, April 14, in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was 87.
A devoted mother, Mrs. Leiblein returned to work for the Village of Hempstead as an administrative assistant before retiring in 1984. According to survivors, she loved her family, camping and square dancing, and was an active member of the Eastern Long Island Quilters Guild and the East Quogue Methodist Church.
Mrs. Leiblein was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 2001. She is survived by three sons, Thomas and Bruce of Florida, and Gary of Southold; a brother, Charles Zaminer of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on Sunday, April 22, at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. The funeral service was held the next day and interment followed at Oakwood Cemetery East Quogue.
