Former Hampton Bays Resident Eleanor J. Gross Dies On June 17

Eleanor J. Gross

Eleanor J. Gross, 75, of New Suffolk and formerly of Hampton Bays, died on June 17.

The family received friends on June 20 at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. A funeral Mass will be held today, Thursday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church in Cutchogue. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
