Former Southampton Resident Rudy Lehr Dies March 30

Former Southampton resident Rudolph J. Lehr, known as Rudy, died on Saturday, March 30, in Las Vegas. Originally of Smithtown, He was 63.

Born on December 6, 1949, and raised in Smithtown, he was the second son of Theresa and Conrad Lehr. He graduated from the State University of New York, Stony Brook University and worked as a teacher in Copaigue High School and Clarkstown High School South in New City, New York. When not teaching, he was delivering bread to various delis, restaurants and stores in the Hamptons.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Adams of Las Vegas, as well as two sons, Christopher Lehr and wife Robin Lehr of Texas, and Eric Lehr of Hampton Bays; and a grandson, Xavier Lehr.
