Lifelong Bridgehampton resident Francis A. Brennan died on August 27 at his home. A local potato farmer, and a retired member of the Bridgehampton Fire Department, he was 87.
In his later years, Mr. Brennan enjoyed daily walks to the Candy Kitchen, where he would reminisce with other locals and farmers to keep abreast of his passion for farming.
Predeceased by his wife, Catherine Brennan, in 1988, he is survived by two sons, Frank Brennan of Bridgehampton and Kevin Brennan and his wife, Carol Sitarsky-Brennan, of Sag Harbor, and a daughter, Maureen Brennan of New Jersey.
The family received visitors on August 29 at the O’Connell Funeral Home in Southampton. A funeral service was held on August 30 at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Bridgehampton followed by interment at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Southampton.
