Francis Peter Fitzsimons Of Westhampton Beach Dies October 18

Francis Peter Fitzsimons died on October 18, 2018. He was 64.

A 1972 graduate of Westhampton Beach High School and 1976 graduate of State University of New York at Stony Brook with bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and English, family said he excelled at whatever he did. He faced incredible challenges throughout his 64 years and handled even the toughest tasks and setbacks with exceptional dignity, survivors said.

Mr. Fitzsimons was predeceased by his father, William. He is survived by his mother, Helen Fitzsimons; his siblings, David, Patrick, Anthony and Sarah (Pell); nieces and nephews, Caitlin (Gurwin), John, Aimee (Bentz Pell) and Hannah (Pell); and great-niece Charlotte Gurwin and great-nephew Remy Gurwin.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Werner Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. A funeral service took place on October 24 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception RC Church on Quiogue.
