Fred Capobianco Of Flanders Dies October 12

Fred Capobianco

Fred Capobianco of Flanders died at his home on October 12. He was 61.

Mr. Capobianco was retired after 20 years of working with the Department of Public Works for the Village of Westhampton Beach.

He is survived by his wife Cindy (née Oliver); three daughters, Melissa Capobianco and her partner James Laird of Islip Terrace, Megan and her husband Jonathan Perez of Flanders and Melanie Capobianco of Flanders; a brother, Robert and his wife Jaclyn Capobianco of Pennsylvania; a sister, Shirley Donavan of upstate Malta; and four grandchildren, Anthony, Olivia, Oliver and Gabriella. He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia DeFio of Glen Cove.

The family received friends on Monday, October 15, at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 16. Interment followed at the East Quogue Cemetery.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
