Frederick A. Eaton of West Palm Beach, Florida, died June 15, 2019, in Weston, Florida, as a result of complications from surgery. He was 83.
Known as “Freddy,” he grew up in New York City, attended the Buckley School, St. Paul’s School, and Harvard College. Over the course of his career, he worked as a securities analyst on Wall Street at several firms including White Weld, and in corporate finance at Gulf Oil. He later served as an advisor and board member for a number of companies. Survivors said he will be remembered for his big heart, quick wit and spirited personality.
Mr. Eaton is survived by his wife, the former Cynthia Cogswell Johnston; his sister, Justine Auchincloss; his four children, Fredrick Eaton, Thomas Eaton, Griffin Eaton, and Elizabeth Eaton Watkins; as well as his eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in New York City on Thursday, June 27, at 11 a.m.
