Full-Court Press

The Democratic Party is employing a full-court press to try to get back into the game being played for the 2022 midterm elections. They have several key players to deploy in their attempt to change the narrative of incompetence they currently own.

The sabotage of the Supreme Court by a leak of its impending ruling on Roe v. Wade is one of these. The criminal act of disclosing working documents relating to a case before the court was bad enough, but the deliberate disclosure of the home address of our conservative judges tells you that, for Democrats, any end justifies their means. The picketing has continued daily, and now a deranged individual was apprehended late at night in possession of a firearm, hunting knife and burglar tools, with which to convince Justice Brett Kavanaugh of the error in his thinking. Progressives are almost always the most militant in enforcing their views.

The Soviet-styled show trial disguised as a hearing being held by the congressional Democrats is another effort to distract the country from its difficulties obtaining affordable fuel or maintaining our border. The January 6 Committee has no Republican member on it interested in an unbiased fact-finding related to the events on January 6, 2021.

I am not absolving anyone involved in breaking the law on that occasion, just making the easy argument that there was no Republican with a contrary viewpoint permitted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to participate in this Democrat production.

There are serious questions about why the National Guard was not invited to bolster the Capitol security forces, which were strangely at only 50 percent strength for what was clearly going to be a major demonstration.

In the aftermath the heavy-handed apprehension of many citizens that were caught up in the moment has not had a balanced look, especially after witnessing the riots in major cities, including the burning of government property in the capital and a police headquarters in Minnesota. The dearth of apprehension and punishment for egregious acts of violence that destroyed public and private property and inflicted many serious injuries on police trying to maintain a civil atmosphere during legitimate demonstrations underscores the bias in enforcement. Rarely were members of Antifa incarcerated and prosecuted.

In contrast, ordinary citizens have been jailed and subjected to harsh treatment by our Justice Department. Long periods of incarceration often in solitary confinement accentuate the fascist nature of this Democrat-led political vendetta, which always was and remains still about the former president.

The “attack on Democracy” will be promoted on every liberal front page and every progressive TV outlet as must-watch theater. I just don’t believe it will make us forget the mess this crowd has gotten us into.
