Geoffrey G. Brown Sr. of East Moriches died on May 23. He was 68.
Mr. Brown was born on June 14, 1951 in Riverhead to Henry and Eva Brown.
He attended East Moriches Elementary and Westhampton Beach High School, and he worked for Chesterfield Associates for over 30 years in the construction field, where they nicknamed him “B-Ho” for the backhoe that he expertly operated before retiring.
He married GayeAnn Brown and together they raised two sons, Geoffrey Jr. and Garrett.
Mr. Brown had a passion for cars, mostly Shelby Cobras, and enjoyed Nascar races both on television and at a few tracks in person. His passion was shared by close family, friends and coworkers.
He enjoyed listening to music of the 1970s and ’80s and recently discovered YouTube races.
Mr. Brown was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Eva; his brother Henry; and his sister Nancy.
He is survived by his wife GayeAnn; his two sons Geoffrey Jr. and Garrett; and several nephews and their spouses; and his cousins.
Mr. Brown will be interred at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches at a small gathering for burial at a later date. No funeral arrangements have been made.
The family asks for any donations to go to the American Heart Association as an expression of sympathy.
