Harold Milby Of East Quogue Dies July 15

Harold Milby

Harold Milby of East Quogue died on July 15 at Stony Brook University Medical Center. He was 82.

Born in Manhattan on November 5, 1929, to Harold Milby and Louise Farley, he was the proprietor of the IGA grocery store in Hampton Bays for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette (née Oudeans) Milby; 11 children, Carol, Robert, Joanie, Amanda, Jessie, Patricia, Jenny, Donald, Keith, Dawn and Mary; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four siblings, Vivian, Lawrence, Franklin and Richie. He was predeceased by two sons, Gary and Wayne; and a brother, Jack.

Visiting hours were held at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral 
Home in Hampton Bays on Thursday, July 19. Pastor John Kenreich of Christ Our Saviour Lutheran Church conducted a service at the funeral home on Thursday evening. Cremation was private.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said. A subsequent investigation revealed he was intoxicated, with a breath test revealing a blood alcohol level of .18, according to police. He was held for morning arraignment and then released.
