Isabelle P. Creef

Isabelle P. Creef, a lifelong resident of Hampton Bays, died at her home on Monday, June 27. She was 95.

Ms. Creef was born in Good Ground to Donald R. Penny and Ethel Raynor in 1916. She was married for 66 years to Russell H. Creef, who predeceased her.

She was devoted to her family, her gardening and was an avid reader. She belonged to the Canoe Place Chapel in Hampton Bays and Calvary Baptist Church in Riverhead.

She is survived by a daughter, Michele C. Phillips and her husband, the Reverend Robert R. Phillips of Ellenburg Depot; a sister, LaVerne Mades of 
Hampton Bays; sisters-in-law Mae Wiggins of Virginia Beach and Rosalie Groce of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Reverend Andrew Phillips, Ramona Killam, Beth Dale and Keith Stringer; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughters Sheila Stringer and Cheryl Furia; a brother, 
William Penny; a brother-in-law, Cyril Creef, and sisters-in-law Melva Dowdy and Neva 
Powell.

Her son-in-law, Reverend Robert Phillips, along with his son, Reverend Andrew Phillips, officiated at funeral services at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Saturday, July 2. Interment next to her husband followed at Good Ground Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations 
to East End Hospice, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978, and the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 997, Hampton Bays, NY 11946, would be appreciated by the family.

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor.
