Jean P. Zirinis Of Southampton Dies August 25

Jean P. Zirinis

Jean P. Zirinis of Southampton and Longboat Key, Florida, died on August 25 at Southampton Hospital. She was 81.

Born in New York City, she met her husband Basil at New York University Law School, where they both graduated with law degrees in 1957. At the time of her graduation, she had the highest grades of any female graduating from law school that year in the entire United States. They were married 54 years at the time of her death.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Basil Zirinis III and Ian Zirinis; a sister, Arlene Ritz Ojalvo; and three grandchildren, Alexandra, Basil IV and Nicholas George Zirinis.

The family received friends on Monday, August 27, at the Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton. Cremation followed.
