Hurricane Cross Country Team Competes At Nike Regionals

The Westhampton Beach boys cross country team had one last meet of the season on Saturday: the Nike Cross Regional Championships, held at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls. Competing under Hurricanes Running Club, the ’Canes finished 15th overall out of 26 teams in the championship 5,000-meter race. Nike holds eight different regional races, one specifically for New York. The top two teams from each region will advance to the Nike Cross Nationals at Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Oregon, the home city of Nike headquarters, this Saturday, December 7.
