Leila M. Siuda

Leila M. Siuda of North Palm Beach, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on February 25 at Hospice of West Palm Beach in Florida. She was 84 and known to family and friends as “Peggy.”

Born on November 15, 1928, in Sea Cliff, she was an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Hampton Bays.

Ms. Siuda was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Siuda. She is survived by her children, Linda Smith and her husband William, Leslie McClure and her husband Scott, and Theodore Siuda, all of Florida; six grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Brendan Smith and his wife Nancy, Brett Smith and his wife Jessica, Kayla Siuda, Morgan McClure and Maxwell McClure; and five great-grandchildren, Simon Miller, Sean Smith, Maura Smith, Samuel Smith and Maxwell Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m.; the Reverend Jay Collins, interim pastor of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Good Ground Cemetery.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said.
