Leokadia “Lodzia” Zurawski of Speonk died on January 10, 2019. She was 82.
Born in Teredjno, Poland on March 10, 1936, she lived most of her life in Speonk. She was 82.
Ms. Zurawski was employed as a housekeeper for more than 50 years. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working on her garden. Survivors said she loved the family pets and being part of the Catholic community.
She is survived by her son, Edward Zurawski of Speonk; nieces Barbara Phillips, Vicki Czaplick, Regina Najdzion and Sophie Gitto; and nephews Stanley Lokaj, Henry Lokaj and Zenon Najdzion Jr., as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Alexandria and Ksawery Najdzion; her husband of 61 years, Stanley Zurawski; and siblings Veronica Lokaj, Anna Klekocinski and Zenon Najdzion Sr.; and Ed’s partner of 25 years, Diane Saetran.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Werner Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. A funeral Mass took place at St. John the Evangelist Church in Center Moriches.
