Louise A. Wessler Hansen
Louise Agnes Wessler Hansen of Florida, formerly of Hampton Bays, died in Florida on Sunday, May 22. She was 79.
Ms. Hansen was born in Hampton Bays on August 30, 1931, and worked for the Bank of New York for 25 years before retiring to Florida. She was an active member in Florida of the Deep Creek Elks and was past president of its Ladies Auxiliary. She was a faithful volunteer for the Culture Center.
She is survived by her children, David Wessler and his wife Beverly of Hampton Bays, Wendy Wessler of East Islip, and Betsy McCuen and her husband Richard of Hampton Bays; step-children, David Hansen and his wife Denise of Florida, Melvin Hansen and his wife Janice of Southold, Marion Hansen and her husband Stanley Normoyle of Florida, Maureen Krupsiki and her husband Stanley of Laurel, Carl Hansen of Laurel, Jack Hansen and his wife Viola of Aquebogue; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Erwin of East Quogue.
She was predeceased by her first husband George Wessler of Hampton Bays and by her second husband Mel Hansen.
There was a gathering of family and friends at the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays on Friday, June 10. Interment of her ashes took place on Saturday, June 11, at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
