Lynn D. Wilkinson
Lynn D. Wilkinson of Oak Hill, Virginia, formerly of Southampton, died at her home on Friday, May 20, after a long battle with melanoma. She was 48.
She was born January 19, 1963, in Southampton to William and Anne Antilety. She was raised in Southampton and graduated from Southampton High School and the University of Delaware. She then relocated to Virginia where she met and married Bud Wilkinson. She worked for Freddie Mac for many years, however, according to survivors, her most cherished job was that of wife and mother. Ms. Wilkinson was a beautiful person inside and out, a dearly loved mother and leaves behind many friends who loved her as well, survivors said.
She is survived by her children, Quinn and Kate Wilkinson; brothers, Mark Antilety and his wife Suzanne, and Michael Antilety and his wife Faeth; and niece and nephews, Lauren Antilety, Zack, Alex and Jacob Antilety.
The family received friends on Sunday, May 22, at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Virginia. A funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, also in Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Melanoma Foundation P.O. Box 1300 Sterling, VA 20167.
