Marion D. Ruppert
Lifelong Westhampton resident Marion Dorothy Ruppert died on Thursday, November 3, at the Westhampton Care Center after a long illness. She was 78.
Ms. Ruppert was born in Westhampton to Herbert and Dorothy Egert on March 18, 1933. She loved the ocean and enjoyed the nature that surrounded her, particularly birds and flowers. She was a loving wife and mother, family said. Her many friends and family members will remember her caring attention, her sense of humor, and sparkling laughter.
She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 60 years, William; her children, William of Riverhead, Christine and her husband Martin Karlinsky of New York City and Cornwall on Hudson; and a brother, Herbert Egert and his family of East Marion.
A funeral service was held at the Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach on Saturday, November 5; the Reverend Jack King of the Beach United Methodist Church officiated. Interment followed at the Westhampton Cemetery.
