By placing two rows of rocks at the foot of the culvert
the Trustees hoped to deepen the water flowing out of the culvert. DANA SHAW
The rocks slow the flow of water
causing it to back up enough to create two pools of water near the culvert. DANA SHAW
Narrow gaps in the rock dams will allow the alewives to swim through. DANA SHAW
Narrowing the culvert neck with concrete slabs also helped deepen the water flowing over through it. DANA SHAW
