From Channel 12 and mailed notices from our village government, I can see that our young mayor, Jesse, is very alert to the dangers and problems of our village.
But has he made arrangements for paper ballots to be distributed to all our village residents? Otherwise, we can’t vote for trustees, etc., this June. And, more important, we will not be able to vote for a new president of the United States next November.
It is obviously important — no, essential — to work on saving our lives. But what will our lives be worth if we don’t save our democracy, our form of government, by exercising our right to vote?
