Partricia “Tricia” A. Abbott of Westhampton Beach died on May 29 at her home. She was 64.
Ms. Abbott was born on July 12 ,1955. The daughter of Norris and Dorothy Abbott, she was raised in Westhampton Beach, where she resided her entire life. A graduate of Westhampton Beach High School, Ms. Abbott went on to receive a bachelor’s degree at Penn State.
Best known to her retailing accomplishments, she was the proprietor of Tricia’ Gallery for 10 years, where she specialized in custom frames.
Ms. Abbott was also a fabulous photographer, her family said, and sold countless amounts of her photography in the gallery.
She was also well known for photoing many parties and fundraising events in the village. During the 1980s she owned the local camera shop in Westhampton Beach. She was a true pillar of the community, according to her family.
In 2001, she met her husband, Bart Froiseth, who immediately fell in love with her infectious laugh, her family recalled. They lived together for 19 years, being married for 12 of them. Everyone she met instantly felt her warm ways and always had great experience’s with her, according to her family.
Ms. Abbott is survived by her husband Bart; her sister Pamela Abbott; and her brother Bruce Abbott.
Visitation was held on June 1 at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach. She was interred on June 2 at Westhampton Cemetery.
