The bad news just won’t end for the Biden presidency.
The latest issue, as if there weren’t enough problems already, is the narrative about Hunter Biden and his efforts to monetize his relationship as the son of the vice president during the Obama administration. This story was substantiated by the existence of a laptop apparently abandoned at a computer store and then claimed by its owner for lack of payment. The laptop was made available to Rudy Giuliani, who copied its content and shared it with the New York Post, which ran featured columns weeks before the 2020 election depicting financial transactions involving millions of dollars between Hunter Biden and his uncle with Chinese banking officials (linked to the CCP). These activities have been verified.
They also add weight to the claims then President Donald Trump had made that the Bidens were trading on their access to Vice President Joe Biden in Ukraine. Millions of dollars were paid to Hunter Biden for no clear reason or exchange of service. Trump, sensing the vulnerability of his opponent, crudely attempted to focus attention on these apparent bribes but instead managed to get himself impeached over his Ukraine involvement.
The glaring issue for me is the deliberate effort by our news outlets to pour water on these serious allegations by refusing to do their journalistic job and investigate the story. The cover-up was aided and abetted by our own CIA, who, incredibly, had 50 members agree in writing that their belief was that this was a Russian disinformation hoax that was designed to get Trump reelected.
This conspiracy of our media supported by deep state Trump haters in the intelligence arm of our government has added to the distrust of right-leaning Americans in their information from the majority of news outlets and for our justice and intelligence agencies. This is not a case of simple paranoia.
There has been no shortage of coverage of the January 6 riot in the same news sources that only now are covering the Hunter Biden fiasco, which may be headed for indictment. The Times and Washington Post protected Joe Biden as they shielded him from his family being investigated at a critical moment in the election.
The left loves to excoriate Fox News as biased and untruthful. There definitely are biased commentators there, as there are on MSNBC and CNN. It’s the basic news we get at 6 p.m. that needs to be as objective as possible in reporting the stories of the day. This is especially true for our streaming news. Their hypocrisy in arbitrarily disseminating stories they approve of poisons the minds and opinions of concerned Americans.
