The Suffolk County engineers have more sense than Charlie McArdle or anyone else [“Suffolk County Will Again Restrict Lanes, Re-Program Traffic Lights on CR39 in Pared-Down Version of Traffic Flow Experiment,” 27east.com, October 1]. There are hundreds of people who live off South Magee Street. The idea that you’re preventing us from going west by making it illegal to turn right onto Hill Street or left onto County Road 39 from Magee Street is preposterous.
I am at a loss for words to think anyone would ask residents or anyone else to drive east another two miles, only to turn around and join the traffic to go west. That idea is just ridiculous and unsafe as well.
