Robert R. Rose Sr. Of East Quogue Dies July 31

Robert R. Rose Sr. of East Quogue, formerly of Hampton Bays, died on July 31. He was 96.

Mr. Rose was predeceased by his wife, Alicia; and a son, Robert. He is survived by a brother, George; a daughter-in-law, Antoinette; and four children, Russell and wife Claudia, Judith Rose and husband Alex Kulch, Roger, and John and wife Lisa. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Joseph Rose, Eric Flagg, Ethan and Adam Rose, Wesley Rose and Sarah Nesbitt and Scott, Thomas and Christopher Rose; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the J. Ronald Scott Funeral Home in Hampton Bays. A funeral service was held at the Hampton Bays Methodist Church on August 5; interment was at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.

Memorial donations may be made to the East Quogue Ambulance, P.O. Box 271, East Quogue, NY 11942, the Hampton Bays Senior Center, 25 Ponquogue Avenue, Hampton Bays, NY 11946, or the Hampton Bays United Methodist Church building fund, 158 West Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays, NY 11946.

Southampton DWI Arrests for the Week of December 12

William Campos Lopez, 26, of Speonk was arrested on December 8, at 3:40 a.m., by Quogue Village Police charged him with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor. He was pulled over after being observed speeding and failing to maintain his lane on Montauk Highway, police said. A subsequent investigation revealed he was intoxicated, with a breath test revealing a blood alcohol level of .18, according to police. He was held for morning arraignment and then released.
