Members of Southampton Elementary School’s Fit Club recently participated in a countywide Fit Club Competition in Sayville. Led by advisers Toni Dottin and Chrissie Fagereng, the fourth- and fifth-graders showcased their athletic skills as they competed in various relays. Throughout the competition, the students experienced what it feels like to be part of a team by offering support, encouragement and inspiration to their teammates while helping them achieve their highest level of fitness. Westhampton Beach Middle School students recently raised $193 for the Anderson Center for Autism as part of a pajama day autism awareness fundraiser. The students collected donations during their lunch periods. The fundraiser was spearheaded by Westhampton Beach High School senior Abby Edwards, who has been coordinating local autism awareness pajama day fundraisers for the Anderson Center since 2017. The Karish Education Fund of the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons is now accepting scholarship grant applications from qualified current and future students of horticulture and related fields, such as agriculture, botany, landscape architecture, garden design, and environmental science.
