I recently attended a Metropolitan Opera event at which a friend of mine was an honoree for her 90th birthday, and a fundraiser hosted by the Peconic Baykeeper. A 67-year-old hiker who got separated from his group in the Pine Barrens near Manorville was located after a massive emergency response and hours of searching on Monday, December 9.
